The Office of the Inspector General investigates allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption within the
executive branch of state government, including, but not limited to, misuse of federal stimulus monies received by
or allocated through state agencies.
Investigations are initiated upon receipt of a complaint or other information that sets forth reasonable cause to believe a wrongful act or omission has been committed by state agencies or officials. They may also be initiated by the Inspector General upon receipt of credible information received from anonymous sources.
